Mahane Yehudah

Since I am so far behind....
On the 21, so last Tuesday, we took it pretty easy and just went out for some shopping at the Mahane Yehudah, also known as a  Shuq (sounds like Shook), went to the Olive Wood store, and drove through West Jerusalem for a little bit before returning home. The market was so interesting because it was outside, but covered. It smelled awful at times, like so many other places here. Overall it was so interesting though because you just don't see markets like these in the states. People were yelling from their little nooks in the wall trying to get people to buy things, people were everywhere buying all kinds of things. It was just so interesting. Below are some pictures of the day.

What Elaine and I believe to be some type of Lotto shop

Eric bought a Hanukkiah from these men and loved every minute of the interaction he had with them.
