Just a few highlights...

Thanksgiving this year was fantastic. I was able to go to Colorado and spend a week there with Nana and my parents. I haven't been home for Thanksgiving since my sophomore year in high school, and boy was it nice. Here are just a couple pictures from my phone since I forgot my camera ...

Who knew a flat screen TV could be so brutal!

Mom's homemade meals=breakfast of champions :)

This two little rascals took over my bed multiple nights, but I love them just the same, even if they did take up most of my bed.

Jada did NOT like having a bath. Poor fuzz ball

This is just a hilarious video... Buddy was so jealous Jada was outside getting attention and he was stuck inside.

Best reaction ever to a birthday present... it actually brought tears to her eyes :)

mmmm Thanksgiving... (notice the close proximity of the drinks to me.....)

More to come soon...

Happy holidays!!

November 12

Up today for the gratitude list..... Modern Technology! I so thoroughly love dishwashers and washing machines and everything in between. As much as I hate doing things like dishes and laundry and everything, I love the convenience that modern technology provides and I can't even imagine what life would be like somewhere else where these opportunities, conveniences, and freedoms are so readily available. Modern Technology is such an amazing thing! :)

11/11/11

What an epic day! It's 11/11/11 today! Talk about the best day EVER to be making wishes.

In class at 11:11! It's wishin' time baby!

Today, being that it is Veterans Day, I am thankful for all those who serve and protect our country and our freedom. We would not have so many of the privileges and blessings that we have today if it were not for our armed forces.

November 10

I love days like today. When you are at school and everyone is rushing around trying to get to their next class or to work or to take a test and everyone is just moving along all together yet all alone at the same time. It's that one single moment where you feel like you are just in a haze doing the same exact thing you have done for months now, walking the same paths, parking in the same spot, etc, that a single moment can pull you out and make you realize the beauty of each day. Today I am thankful for guys who hold doors open for you. Strangers. And not because you are literally on their heels walking behind them. I'm talking about the ones who go out of their way to do it. Like they are leaving a building when you are going in and they see you coming, even if you are still 6 or 7 steps away, they wait and hold the door till you get there. And when you say "Thank you" they even respond with a pleasant "You're welcome". Those are the guys to be thankful for.

I knew chivalry wasn't dead...

November 9

Shouldn't we always be grateful for sweet, precious moments like these?

November 8

Today I am thankful for mittens. Especially on those days where its 10 o'clock at night and you are driving home in the 28 degree weather and the steering wheel of your car is super cold. Mittens make driving so much more bearable. And they are super cheap! :)

November 7

Today I am thankful for talk shows. As silly as that may sound, I am thankful there are talk shows out there, like the Ellen Degeneres Show, or late night television and whatnot. They seriously are so hilarious and make me laugh so much. Even when I am waist deep in homework. It provides a nice laugh and an amazing break form reality for a few minutes. We all need a little laughter now and then right? :)

November 6

Today I am thankful for my car. My parents are awesome enough to let me use their car (the good ole Focus that has been in our family since 2000 and every kid has used :) ) for the past 4 1/2 years. They even let me take it to college! I guess being the youngest has its perks huh? Haha, anyway, it is so nice to be able to go where I want/need when I need to and have the convenience of a car. It is such a great little car and has been through so much, I just love it :)

November 4

Today is Friday. Thank goodness. I am exhausted, so today I am thankful for the weekends. A time to take a beat, relax, sleep in, and regroup. Oh, how I wish weekends were longer, but I am grateful for them nonetheless. :)

November 3

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to get an education. As much as I may hate it at times and dread going to classes each day, I am grateful that I can go and get a degree so that I can have the chance to do anything with my life.

Gratitude Month

Since it is November, a month of thanks, here I will be posting my daily gratitude list. Some may be just a sentence of two, others my contain explanations. Let's begin!

November 1: Yesterday I was thankful for this amazing video. I have always been a big Hilary Weeks fan and this song is just awesome. I heard it for the first time about a week again, and then my friend Camille put it on her blog and reminded me how amazing it is. You should listen. It'll make you happy. :)

November 2: Today I am thankful for an awesome job. I love it. It is so much fun and I am always learning so much. Plus, it helps keep this super poor college student afloat... :)

Tune in tomorrow for day three!

November

It is finally November. November and I have a very strong love/hate relationship. I love it because of the weather. I am a sucker for winter weather. I enjoy winter so much more than summer. Thanksgiving is also in November which means a break from school and lots and lots of delicious food. :) While Thanksgiving may provide a break from school, November tends to be the hardest month to survive for me. This is the time of the semester where EVERYTHING adds up, and adds up fast. Every class and every teacher wants all these big projects to be due this month, and generally they will fall to be due within a week or so of each other. Oh the stress. It also means that the semester is almost over which means it is almost time for finals. I dread finals. Just the stress and anxiety of them make me go crazy. Two of my favorite people happen to have birthdays this month too which just adds to the fun and excitement. Yet, despite how insanely busy this month is, I still love it.

So please, November, be good to me this year.

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering,
in THREE weeks I am going to Colorado
and
in SIX weeks I am going to ISRAEL!

Be jealous people, be very jealous. Life here is good.
