Goodbye Summer

Goodbye summer.... one of my favorite times of the year because there is no school and I can stay up as late as I want and sleep in as often as I desire. With no real responsibilities and nothing to worry about, you will be greatly missed oh dear summer.

School starts in the morning.... bright and early at 10 am! The thing I love about college is being able to choose your own schedule and decide when you want to go to class. It's perfect for me because I am so NOT a morning person whatsoever. Starting at 10 is absolutely amazing and I only go till 12:50 everyday! Talk about a perfect schedule. :) Now it is just a waiting game to determine how difficult some of my classes are going to be. I have fears about a couple but for the most part I think it should be a decent semester. Bring it on 15th grade!

Runnin on fumes

Do you ever feel like you are just running on fumes? Like when your gas light comes on in your car and you just hope that you can make it through the rest of your errands and to the gas station before you completely run out of gas? That's how I have felt for the past month and this past week everything has caught up with me. I have gotten such a terrible cold and been so sick that I sleep all day or cough all night and feel like I am going to just die. It is not the best of feelings in the world, especially with school starting on Monday. I need so badly to refuel and have a full tank but I just can't. I get about half way there and just crash all over again. I hate being sick. It seriously is such a terrible feeling. Especially the cough. That is probably the worst part of all. Hopefully it just doesn't lead to bronchitis.....

Anyway. Here it is, Saturday night and I have not really done much of anything this week to get ready for school to start on Monday. Including all of the reading that needs to be done. How is it that school hasn't even started and I am already behind? Yet again, just runnin' on fumes.

Even though I am still running on fumes and I don't see that changing anytime soon.... I have a new goal for education: Be done by December 2012. If i can actually accomplish that it will be the miracle of all miracles but nonetheless it is still my new goal. So wish me luck.

Here's to a new semester and new adventures in life...

All sorts of twisted and tangled

Have you ever had one of those days where you just want to lay in bed and sleep all day? I have felt that way for the past couple weeks but have not been able to actually do it, until today. I have this wicked terrible cold all week and lost my voice and everything so I have been taking good old Nyquil.. the greatest thing ever! Last night at like eleven I took some and slept until almost 12:30 this afternoon! When I finally woke up I remembered why I love my big bed here in Provo so much. I was all sorts of twisted and turned in that bed and I just loved being back here. But back to my point of sleeping all day. After about half an hour I fell asleep all wrapped up in my blanket on the couch watching tv and thought to myself, I really just do not want school to start. Then later, when I woke up, I walked in to my room to get something and when I couldn't remember what I needed, I just laid down and slept until after 5. Oh the joys of being sick. Sleeping all day is seriously the greatest thing ever. Except for the feeling of having NOTHING accomplished. Why is that? Why is it that whenever we spend the day doing exactly what we want, aka sleeping, that you feel bad about it later? Oh life, it is just oh so interesting. Now that it is 8:00 I must attempt to get SOMETHING done so that I can return to my glorious bed and sleep some more. Because we all know I haven't slept enough lately ;) haha. Oh life.....

Yet again....

Yet again, I am so far behind. The past few weeks have been so crazy with the wedding and family coming to Colorado for the reception and getting ready to go back to school and everything. I have a lot to still write about before school starts next week but because I am so awesome, I currently do not have my computer and won't for another 2-6 weeks. Go figure. First my phone and now my computer. Maybe I should just become Amish and ban electronics from my life? Oh well. I got back to Provo on Monday and now here it is Wednesday and I have a killer cold and currently have NO voice. I don't even remember the last time that I lost my voice but nonetheless, I currently have no voice. I hate it. I need my voice back before school starts!! Oh well. Today also saw the depature to Eric, Elaine, Rachel, and Samuel. They left for their year long journey to Jerusalem. It is going to be such an amazing experience for them all, but it is weird that they are no longer here. They really are te greatest second family ever. It has been so great to be able to be so close the past couple of years and get to know them better.

Hopefully over the next few days I can get a few things updated on here before school begins and life gets even crazier! Safe traveling Eric Elaine and family!!

Beach lovin'

I LOVE the beach. I'm torn between the mountains and the beach. If I had the chance, I would go to the beach everyday. There is just something about being next to the ocean and that ocean breeze that is calming and relaxing and makes you feel like the world just doesn't exist for a while.
While in California I went to Santa Monica for a day. On our way, we drove a little too far and ended up taking a slight detour through Malibu. No big deal. Ha! What more can you say about the beach than it is amazing though??

Downtown LA from I-10

uhhhh

Oh hey California traffic, I don't miss you one bit!

Creepy dude with a Boa just hanging out on the pier

While driving back, I somehow managed to find the Sacramento  (I think) temple off the freeway. It just came out of no where and then POOF! it was gone again. But it was cool to see nonetheless! Oh California, how I miss you!!

Disneyland!

These next few posts may be out of order slightly but oh well....

So while I was in California, I was able to go to Disneyland one day with my Aunt, Uncle, cousins, and Nana. It was SUCH a blast, although it was ridiculously hot all day. We were there from 9:30 till about 11:00. I know remember why it is known as the happiest place on earth. It seriously was so much fun.

Here are some pictures to prove the amazingness of the day....

European driving anyone??
It is so much harder than I thought!
